Not better, necessarily, just...different. Vectornator's focus is solely SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) -based design. There are a few non-SVG elements (like gradients), but all in all, it's really an SVG app.
On the other hand, Procreate has much more support for what we might call freehand art; it also supports raster- and pixel-based images. (which is something Vectornator does, too--it just has less of a focus in those areas.)
So in the end, it comes down to what you're doing. I personally will almost always choose Vectornator, but again, it's your choice.
