Is there a plan to enable 2FA with on-premise MDaemon?

2FA with a configurable timeout requiring reauthentication would be a killer feature.

Thanks for your question Che! You can enable two-factor authentication in MDaemon Email versions 16.0 and above. Check out this article and how-to video -- https://knowledge.mdaemon.com/enable-two-factor-authentication-webmail-remote-administration

Yes, I understand 2FA with timeouts is available for WorldClient webmail. I was saying we need that feature for cell phones and Outlook based access as well.

Thanks Emma! That's a great start! What we'd like to see though is the ability to turn on 2FA for the MDaemon Connector for Outlook and cell phone access via IMAP and Activesync with a requirement to reauthenticate via 2F every X hours/days, where X can be configured by policy.

Che, administrators can configure a timeout for two-factor authentication in MDaemon Webmail by opening the Domains.ini file (located in the MDaemon/WorldClient directory) and adding the timeout to this line: TwoFactorAuthRememberUserExpiration=30 (for example - for a 30 minute timeout).
