How can we set up one task for multiple users to check off?

Right now we have it set up to everyone is assigned to it and you check it off when you're done, and then our admin goes in and unchecks your name.

Hi Jason, You really can't. Other PM software enables the user to "mark done with their part" enabling other folks who haven't finished theirs to have an active task. Basecamp does not provide this functionality. The best workaround we've found is to have people remove themselves from to-dos once they are done, and leave a comment to that effect on the to-do.
