Amazon Alexa AI - New development, but payment required

There are exciting developments taking place at Amazon, where brand-new AI features will be used to enhance Alexa. There's one drawback though, Amazon will expect you to pay a monthly charge.

Regardless of the features, this is an easy no for me.

I'm kind of freaked out about data privacy in general, so I've never wanted something like an Alexa that's always listening.

Even without one of those devices, it's wild how many times my wife and I have been simply just been talking about something, and then we start getting ads for that thing.

It just happened the other day.

My wife asked, "when did you want to go to San Antonio, again?" I said April, and that was the end of the conversation. Later that day, I opened Facebook and the top content in my feed was an ad for a San Antonio hotel. Neither of us even looked up anything about San Antonio on our phones or computers. Creepy.

Yes, I agree with your sentiments Brett.

It feels so intrusive and with algorithms and then neurotechnology, our lives will change inextricably.
