What is the best way to upgrade the Ubuntu server version to the latest?

Eventually, I want to upgrade from Ubuntu server 18.04 to 20, but I have not learned a fast and secure way to do this.

Our advice would be to backup all the data on the Ubuntu 18.04 Linode, and then create a new Linode with Ubuntu 20.04 and transfer data to it. Upgrading on Linux can be a very complicated thing. Here's potentially some more help: https://www.linode.com/docs/guides/upgrade-to-ubuntu-20-04/
