How is a marketing automation platform different from Constant Contact, MailChimp and LeadPages?

There are definitely differences between email marketing software and marketing automation software. While both have the ultimate goal of engaging with prospects and customers, marketing automation software has the ability to look comprehensively at your audience's behavior. For example, marketing automation software can monitor every digital interaction a lead has with your business, while email marketing software can only monitor engagement with email campaigns. Marketing automation platforms can also help you create and manage search-optimized landing pages, social media marketing, blog posts, etc. Finally, another key difference is that marketing automation software can help you with lead scoring. Email marketing software can only gather information about your leads that you provide (i.e. contact information), but it can't consolidate information/data from other tools to create a single picture of all interaction data.
