When will Virtual Desktop release in Windows 8?

The absence of a Virtual Desktop that I usually use in Windows 10 is also one of my inconveniences in using Windows 8.1. The actual sliding system of the desktop that can easily let us switch from desktop to application with just a swipe of the finger from left to right is very convenient. Unfortunately this only applies if I'm using a desktop plus an app from the store. If I use software other than from the store, it will be 'counted' as a desktop, making it less easy for me to switch between apps when using this device.
