What is the best way to make schedules?

Schedule building is a big pain point for our team, and even with the Task Tracker Beta that was released, it is still very clunky. Especially the Gantt view, any ideas would be great. We currently use templates but those are not always as efficient as you'd expect. We will often have to add just a single line, not necessarily a full milestone or nested series. This is tough to do with Mavenlink's current capabilities. I'm curious how you all use these tools and what you have found works best for your team. Do you use templates? Would you also benefit from copy and paste milestones? Of course, templates might end up being our best bet, but am curious to your suggestions.
