When a word document is destroyed because of a formatting problem, and Microsoft cannot be reached, and two Geek Squad agents are stumped, what do you do?

Word completely changes formatting of bullets and numbering from page to page. Two Geek Squad agents have tried to fix it but could not. Microsoft simply offers no help.

Word does have an auto save feature, which if you have it turned on, would allow you to go back to an earlier version. That's where I would check first to see if you can recover the document in an earlier format.

Send it to me! This sounds like a style issue but if the document is corrupt there is a feature we can use in Word to try to recover it. I deal with Word issues and fixing errant documents. You can reach me at support@peartreecompany.com
