What is the best way to secure a response without another agent taking your message.

I have had instances where I was respinding to messages and another agent took it before submission.

Can you take the ticket and assign it to yourself first, save the update, and then work on sending out a response? Also, as agents you can use the 'Play mode' feature in order to work on the next ticket that no one else is viewing, this way agents can avoid working on the same ticket at the same time.
