What is the best way for Dialpad to transcribe conversations? Using a cell phone, office phone, or wearing a headset?

Sometimes I find that when I have my cell phone on speaker, the transcription is not as accurate.

Hi Austin, Thank you for the great question. TL;DR: The clearer the audio, the better the transcription. Here are some tips that will all improve the quality of transcription on your Dialpad calls: 1. Use the best microphone available to you. Wired headsets are typically better than wireless, but it all comes down to the quality of the hardware. 2. Limit background noise or interference. A quiet room and a decent internet or phone connection are all you need, not a recording studio :). When you cannot limit background noise, it’s best to avoid speakerphone. 3. Speak clearly at a moderate speed. Muffled or rapid talking are harder for our models to transcribe, but we’re getting better all the time. Dialpad’s Voice Intelligence team is constantly working on improving in all of these areas, including adding more accents. We welcome any feedback anytime. Thank you again, The Dialpad Team
