What is your preferred tool and workflows for prepping components and individual elements or models to be used in a space inside The Wild?
Looking for just a general sense of the most commonly used tools that others are using for their workflows, beyond some of the items that are directly evident through support and documentation and tutorials - would be very interested to see/hear how others are tackling/brining in assets/models/creating spaces from the wide array of tools out there in the 3D/BIM/Modeling/AEM space and how they are improving their workflows.
We are just getting started in The Wild - our company uses Revit to model a project's curtainwall for shop drawings, fabrication and installation. The first thing that I found was necessary was creating a ground floor slab in its own workset specifically for a 'The Wild' view. The reason for this is that we don't always have a slab with enough outside surface to 'walk around on' once the space is created in The Wild. Here's what we do: 1 - Create a The Wild Slab workset in Revit that is NOT visible in all views. 2 - Create a 3D 'The Wild' view that has the slab workset visible. 3 - Add this 3D view to our publish set for BIM 360 Design (this can be set up in a template file). You can push the space up from Revit via the add-in, but we publish it to BIM 360 Docs so we can also browse BIM 360 from the The Wild app to create the space for the first time. A couple of ways to go about it, so planning for either.
