While implementing large scale applications where certain predefined process needs to be automated, a BPM tool is pretty much helpful and selection of the tool varies on multiple parameters. All BPM tools follow the standard BPMN notation and majority of frequently used components are available in all tools. For evaluation, a vendor specific to opensource BPM tool, following parameters can be considered- 1. Project size and number of business users 2. Skilled team availability 3. In case new BPM tool, the team capability to learn and implement 4. Easy deployments 5. Change request implementation viz. changes in business rules 6. Cloud adoption for future perspective
