Love it! I've used Freshbooks since 2013, and when they raised their prices, I'll admit, I looked around. Wave was one place I tried, but the experience just wasn't as good. I didn't like the client communications, especially. Wave does many things that Freshbooks does. Freshbooks just does it better and I don't mind paying for that.
Hi Rodney,
We have used Freshbooks since 2013, and are in no way affiliated with them.
For the most part, our experience overall has been positive, though there have been challenges and glitches along the way every once in a while.
When we first started working with them, it felt very different. You would call, and perhaps get the same person to answer the phone. You'd get quick answers, and it felt a little more home grown, which was quirky but appealing.
Now, it feels very much like a large business that is continuing to grow, appealing to a younger audience than its (likely biggest competitor), Quickbooks.
For the most part, we would recommend Freshbooks, but would advise that there may be occasional headaches. In general, it does what it says it will do, but it might not be 100% problem free. The closest alternative we've considered, Quickbooks, has no support for time tracking, which is a big part of what we do, so that is out of the question for us.
Note: We did try Quickbooks years back (when frustrated with Freshbooks), but found their support and small glitches to be just as frustrating, if not worse.
Hope this frank and honest answer is helpful to you!
Best,
Zack
