The workflow engine allows for the composition of processes and incorporates request/approval to initiate, approve, or orchestrate with Identity Manager activities including advanced features like quorum approval. Several out-of-the-box templates are provided. Administration is done via a GUI tool that allows for drag and drop design from an existing template or via step by step configuration. The Designer tool enables intuitive visualization of the step including items such as routing, approvals, and auditing. Flexible form design allows interaction during any stage of a workflow process with external sources and/or the Identity Vault. Workflow includes interaction with Web Services (REST, SOAP) for data exchange with outside sources and/or 3rd party ITSM tools and integration with 3rd party workflow systems (e.g. ServiceNow) is supported. Data can be leveraged as part of the request/approval processes (such as decision support or routing decisions) or to pause the process for human interaction.
