"SAS Visual Analytics: Highly capable and recommended product for reporting"
What do you like best about SAS Visual Analytics?
SAS Visual Analytics aka SAS VA is a very capable, robust and powerful tool. It has very high processing capabilities as it can perform in-memory (RAM, it has low latency, and high speed) processing. For report designers, SAS VA is very rich in features and functions, and is very intuitive in nature. Also, because SAS has more products which can sit before SAS VA in terms of flow, it can gel well with the company's echo system, thus providing end to end Business Intelligence solution. It's well written algorithms can process the data quickly, and provide an edge over the other products available in market. Also, it has strong, experienced and rich user community which does come handy when you are facing troubles, or need a quick solution to your problems. SAS VA requires high end hardware (which is good and bad in a way, hence putting it in both likes and dislikes section). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about SAS Visual Analytics?
On the hind side, SAS VA is an expensive product. It can be too pricey for small to medium firms, which I personally have observed. Its Customer Support has improved a lot over the time, but I still feel that initial problem understanding is critical and play important role in which direction the track will move, in case you reach out to their technical support. I would hate to say, with such a beautiful product and high market capture, SAS has poor documentation, which is mostly confusing as it contains transitive self referential links. SAS VA requires high end hardware (which is good and bad in a way, hence putting it in both likes and dislikes section). At time procuring such hardware is tricky, especially in Cloud environments. Also, like any other BI tool, it requires a team SAS Admins if you have implemented suites of applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
