Mostly time saving. We used to work with our own folder structures, sending everything by email, which led to slow response times. This has now been solved by implementing milestones, so our partners also know the timeline. Additionally, we manage monitoring reports in the CTMS system using our standard templates. Tracking is a big one for us. When a doctor says he or she only spent 10 minutes with the patient, we can pull reports. Opus is solving a lot of the inefficiencies we used to face with scheduling, documentation, and client management. Before, we were juggling multiple systems that didn’t communicate well, which slowed everything down. At this stage, there is nothing we dislike. However, since we are still in the early stages, there have been moments where the system feels a bit overwhelming just because it offers so many features. At Doral Med and Rehab, iCare is helping us stay fully electronic from day one. It keeps everything in one place, from patient records and scheduling to billing and reporting. Even when insurance companies do not accept electronic claims, we can print directly from iCare without extra steps. This saves time and keeps our workflow clean. Medent has a great suite of reports that are easily accessed. The EHR is very easy to use and is very intuitive. We use it for scheduling, billing, posting payments, maintaining patient records - basically everything that a medical office needs, except for accounting/banking (we use Quickbooks). ECP could improve the bowel monitoring process. There is not really anything in place currently to be able to quickly see who has not had a BM in x amount of days. This would be a huge benfit to our staff and residents. Additionally a "911 quick print" button would be very helpful for emergency situations. ECP is a very quick, sleek and smooth EMAR system. Our previous EMAR was so slow and caused a significant amount of issues for many years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would like to see group billing. I provide services to a school and it would be nice to put all the invoices under one payer/header to make it a little easier but I may just not have found the way to do this as of yet. I needed a solution that had everything in one place. I wanted to be able to have my schedule, keep my notes and evaluations, bill private pay and bill insurance but in an organized and easy way and this was the only option that I found that met all my needs. The biggest selling point was the ability to collect data and see graphs showing me when the goal was worked on and be able to see the progression over time. I have not found any downsides so far. If I have to come up with one thing, is that our families often question certain features we allow to be offered, such as labels and insurance. I wish there was a way to provide that information, directly with those offers, that it is not offered directly by the university. Nor do we have information about the products/services. Our biggest challenge revolves around the billing team and difficulties with insurance processing/payments. Many time we are going back to the billers and asking that they re-look at or submit claims that we know should have been processed or they should have worked through on behalf of our clinic. Most recently our goal has been to transition to electronic paperwork to eliminate the bottleneck patients filling in paper documents cause at our new patient appointments.
