What do you like best about Xref?

Streamlines the reference check process and saves a lot of time that would normally be used for follow up. It helps us have faster recruitment turnaround times. Responsive support and team that provides solutions and suggestions for how we can further improve our reference check process. Having an assigned customer service representative that reaches out and maintains the relationship is also a positive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xref?

Reminder emails to candidates and their referees can sometimes be a bit too much - it helps with faster turnaround times though. When used for bulk recruitment, some referees may receive multiple requests and the number and frequency of emails and reminders they receive to complete them can be excessive. What do you like best about Xref?

It allows people to fill it out online instead of a phone call. It puts the ownership on the candidate. It saves time and makes sure that it gets done. It is reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xref?

What do you like best about Xref?

The automation is the best part for us. It allows our recruiters to focus on finding the best talent rather than back and forth chasing up missed calls. It's also great for allowing the referee to complete in their own time which often is out of hours for our retail workforce. It's particularly useful for our bulk recruitment where references are necessary however the volume can take our recruiters away from more valuable tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xref?

Probably the only downside is removing that opportunity to network with the referees and build new relationships there. In those cases where we feel the referee is someone we'd like to chat to further this is easily manager by simply completing the check over the phone in that instance. Xref includes an opt-in function that can be added to the end of the reference questionnaire and asks referees if they would be happy to be contacted in the future about employment opportunities. This, coupled with our People Search tool, allows Xref users to compliantly collect and store referee data that can then be used for talent pooling.

What do you like best about Xref?

It's a real time-saving when you are hiring at such a high volume. It's also great the tracking it does on any suspicous behaviour that may be associated with the reference check and the email notifications are great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xref?

Sometimes the integration with Checkr is difficult to manage - the 2 systems don't always speak to each other the way I would like. For example, when you want to stop a check it doesn't remove it from the Xref platform although you have cancelled it from Checkr. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It’s aggressive sending reminders out to referees. Too many and too often. Also poor customer service. I sent an email and never got a reply. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

the fact that i cant delete requests sent by a colleague and the fact that if someone else opens the XREF and uploads it on to our internal system it doesn't show a tick on it, only if I open it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
