What do you like best about Xref?

I like that you get updates on how candidates are progressing to your email so you aren't having to actively check up on candidates, especially when sending so many in a day. It also alerts to potential fraudulent references completed. You can alter templates to ensure you are asking the questions you want to know. I used it as a candidate before I started my role using Xref to issue reference checks and it was easy to nominate details and check-in with referees who hadn't completed it yet. You can also easily export the reports created and refresh checks if the answers aren't quite up to scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xref?

The notifications do sometimes get repetitive especially if you are getting an email to confirm a candidate hasn't accessed Xref yet. It is handy to know but receiving that notification twice a day across multiple days can clutter your inbox if you are like me and issuing high amounts of checks every day. Like you, many of our customers also like the ability to create their own tailored reference surveys, and they like the option of using our suggested templates if they need. Our unusual activity detection is highly valued by many of our customers as the added layer of compliance helps them feel confident in who they are hiring.

Xref's clear reporting helps our customers to compare and contrast candidates while reducing unconscious bias.

You make an excellent point about referees not answering the phone to unfamiliar numbers. In terms of completing reference checks outside of business hours, did you know with Xref 65% of our reference checks are completed outside of business hours? Being able to complete a reference check in your own time is especially useful for companies who do remote or overseas hiring.

What do you like best about Xref?

I like that the process is clear and easy to follow for all involved, also that there are reminders/prompts sent to both the candidate and referee. I like the support being provided as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xref?

Our organisation is only very new to utilising XRef. We are still in the phase/process of manoeuvring our way around the system to use it to its full capacity. Haven't encountered any issues at this stage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Xref?

Quick and simple process to follow - always happy to help when we need it. A simple dashboard with clear information - easy to see where things are at with just a quick glance. What do you dislike about Xref?

That I don't get an email notification when a reference is complete - perhaps this is a feature I am not aware of yet, but would be helpful to simply click and download from an email as opposed to having to go to the dashboard each time. Requesting an alternate referee can sometimes be a bit of a process, would be great if this could be much simpler. Once click request! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Xref?

xRef has helped me save so much time in the post-offer stage. I like the notifications received when a reference check is completed, it keeps me up to date with everything I need to know for a particular candidate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xref?

Notifications when a reference check is unobtainable, or if a referee hasn't responded would be helpful. Currently you have to manually check this and it can be missed/might not leave enough time before the candidate starts employment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Xref?

What do you like best about Xref?

I have been using Xref for over 5 years at multiple employers. I like that it can be integrated into an ATS and allows my candidates to input their referees with ease at a time that suits them.

It frees up my time as a busy recruiter and has stopped the need for chasing referees via the phone and leaving several chaser messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Xref?

The system is super user friendly making it easy for recruiters, candidates and referees to login and complete references quickly. As a result of the rigorous security & compliance checking on Xref (audit trail on every reference, checking IP address etc) to be a massive benefit, references you can trust to be authentic! Like you, our customers find that using Xref eliminates the need to play phone tag. In fact 65% of our reference checks are completed outside of business hours, and the average reference checks are completed in around 18hrs meaning our customers get results faster.

With regard to your feedback around short word counts, typically a higher word count means the referee is more engaged with the candidate giving more detailed insights.

What do you like best about Xref?

We have been using Xref for several years and have integrated it into our ATS. Not only is the process incredibly convenient for our recruiters, but the quality of response and the turnaround times are incredible. The fact that you can track based on sentiment, number of words in a reply, and turnaround times make it incredibly easy to streamline this stage of our recruitment process. It is also an excellent tool for the collection of referees details as potential future contacts. Xref, has had a significant impact on our operations. What do you dislike about Xref?
