You are right, many people don't answer unknown phone numbers or don't have time for unexpected calls. Xref helps overcome the phone-tag challenge by allowing referees to complete a reference check in their own time. On average, a reference check is returned on average within 18 hours, meaning organisations reduce time to hire. Automated reference checking saves both the organisation and referee time.

With regard to your feedback about sending a new link if a candidate wishes to update their referees, there are a few scenarios where you don't need to send a new link and information can be updated. You can unlock a reference request if you would like your candidate to add another referee or if your candidate needs to edit referee information this can be done before the reference is completed.
