I'm a one-person dev team, and I have another full-time job. I'm using Telerik UI to support my website.
My website has a lot of pages driven by data, and my website's feel-and-look has to be updated according to the constantly changing web trends. I like that Telerik folks keep churning new features and new controls without delay to keep up with those trends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My ticket support could be better. The 'light support' allows for several days answer, and I have to wait... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This library is truly impressive with all its rich features. This comes with a variety of Controls which makes UI design so easier and effective. This enhance the look and feel of the application, led to high Customer satisfaction.
I would also like to appreciate the Support team, who proactively provides complete solution with minimal time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be great if Telerik UI will come with more specific documnetion on generic problems. The Telerik community also plays a vital role for all existing users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Telerik's support is the best I've worked with. Their regular and valuable updates to the UI suite is also unmatched. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can think of no downsides. Telerik has become our favorite component vendor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
An excellent tool with a broad and extensive documentation with decent support given the number of developers /businesses using the product. You can find a lot of documentation online as well. Also great integration with other SDK libraries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The support team on tickets seems to be slow on question forums.
The NuGet package process on ASP .NET can get tedious. Should me automated Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how easy it is to get started with the tools. It makes setting up a new project easy to get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it is hard to handle DevOps stuff with the tool because of the unique login for NuGet. Not impossible, just frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Telerik provides many toolsets for WebUI development; it also enables easy collaboration with other Javascript frameworks like Angular, React, etc. Telerik supports smooth customizations for all UI components using multiple attributes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Performance of the JavaScript framework for big data is an issue sometimes. Also, when using many components simultaneously slows down the rendering of the screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use Telerik Reporting on our customer portal. It is very cost effective and easy to use. We have used the product since a consultant introduced us to it in 2009. Since then we've been able to maintain the reports and update to the newer versions of Telerik Reporting without breaking the code. We needed an easy way for our customers to print data about their accounts, and Telerik Reporting gave us a great option for that. We also like the export functions such as export to PDF, CSV, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't know that I have any "dislikes". The look and feel of our reports probably needs some updating, but that would be something we need to look into as I am sure there are better options with newer versions of Telerik Reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Most of the Telerik controls saves tons of development time and very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
learning curve for some of the telerik controls can be like steep hill Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's fast, it's put together with security in mind, it's flexible, it's well maintained. The tools are nice and easy to use. The support group is responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the functions we use are being deprecated, so we'll have to replace those soon. The way we have it working it's such an easy template to work with. But I understand that the piece I'm talking about is older technology at this point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Currently using Telerik UI for both Xamarin and WPF, while learning how to use it on web technologies.
The first thing I have ever used from Telerik was the RadSpreadsheet which honestly made my development time drop quite a lot; a lot easier to use a pre-made control than trying to create your own when dealing with something as complex and Excel documents.
The things I like best about Telerik is that not only is the community quite active, so any problems that might arise are solved fast, but also the technical support is quick to respond to any and all problems you might send them.
Also, one of the best things is that the package is one of the most complete ones there are, at least for WPF; I've had been searching for quite some time before I decided to stay with Telerik.
I've been a client for the past three years and I don't think this will change in the foreseeable future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Probabily the only I thing I would be able to define as negative would be the need for a bit more and easier customization, but it is one of the things under development right now so hopefully it'll be fixed soon enough Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
