"PostgreSQL relational database management system"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

PostgreSQL is undoubtedly one of the most well-known and used database servers.

OPEN SOURCE

One of the main reasons for using PostgreSQL is that it is developed under open source (Open Source), we can find it available on its official website and download it without any cost. also has a MULTIPLATAFORMA

If we require a database to work on our project, the most common is that we ask what database to use that gives us performance, security and in turn we can use it both in the office and outside of it, and one of the Most common cases is that we do not all have the same operating system. And here is another reason to use PostgreSQL: we will not have to worry about this detail anymore, because it is available in virtually all versions of Unix operating systems and also for Windows, giving us the opportunity to have it installed locally, make a remote connection to through your PgAdmin administrator or also from the application you are developing. What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

This compared to MySQL is slower in insertions and updates, since it has intersection headers that do not have MySQL.

Online support: There are official forums, but there is no mandatory help.

It consumes more resources than MySQL.

The sintaxtis of some of its commands or statements is not intuitive at all.

These are some of the annoying things about PostgreSQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Database manager very powerful and the best thing is that it is free!"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

This management system offers performance characteristics that have evolved over time. Also its use and constant review of the developer community have made it one of the most stable systems in terms of open source refers to. The graphical environment offered by Pgadmin allows an intuitive and easy to manage administration. If you have used other database administration systems, the adaptation to Postgre SQL will be very fast and little traumatic. The SQL statement editor is very practical, which allows to perform the operations most commonly used in any database. Finally, the backups and recovery of databases are carried out quickly and in a few steps. The reliability of this function is very high. Particularly, during the time I have been using this manager I have not presented any type of error or catastrophic loss Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

The main hosting providers do not support database of this management system. The big corporations still have resistance for the use of this manager. The support is provided by the developer community, which produces long periods of time to resolve. It does not have an error identification and traceability mechanism. "PostgreSQL: a great choice for open source Relational DBMS"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

PostgreSQL is one of the best options to work with relational databases. Having worked a lot with databases and having the experience to work with PostgreSQL made me realize how this is one of the most solid options for working on this area. It's the best open source for SQL and possibly the best among all, either open source or no.

PostgreSQL provides you with high performance and solid robustness. It's easy to import, export, and deploy databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

The PGAdmin could be improved. While it's a functional inteface, it could be improved and made faster and easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"PostgresSQL is the most effective"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

PostgreSQL is fast and available with very small latencies on most clouds. I believe it's a SQL taste, particularly compatible with my coding style and a straightforward natural query interface. It operates robustly and can be easily distributed without crashing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

Postgres is perfect to say it has no flaws and we can't ask for Oracle's scope or features because, as a consequence, this instrument is safe. However, for example, the other tools aren't the only ones I saw and don't like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
