"Great open-source database system"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

It is completely free, easy to set up, extremely robust, and has great performances on concurrency, transactions, and schema. It is also well-supported so new features and improvements are rolled out frequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

For large-scale enterprise applications, PostgreSQL is slow. Horizontal scaling is difficult and a culprit. Could use improvements for JSON. Not a lot of online documentation and resources available compared to MySQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Found helpful for storing large transactional logs"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

PostgreSQL was a cost effective option to choose from RDBMS. It was easy to configure and get setup. As it is similar to other RDBMS in market so learning this by other team members was not complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

We want to move some of our workloads from other RDBMS to Postgres, but couldn't find any suitable tool. Also, some dashboard to see the health and statistics of Server, DB and table would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cheap and Fast alternative to Enterprise Level DB requirements (beats MSSQL)"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

I like that its free, open source, and very fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

Connecting requires a local daemon running and using the web browser (they have a windows app, but it is just the browser wrapped in the app using Electron). Deployment is a bit trickier than MySQL but easier than MSSQL Server, considering the price being free, its not much of a concern) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"PostgreSQL"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

I have used this as this was free and so to save product cost client wanted to migrate from SQL to PostgreSQL. There are some offcourse syntax changes but overall logic remains same. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

Nothing to dislike as such but ya but 1 thing i would like to point out, it doesn't contain every method which is used is sql. So there are some changes which you need to do if you are looking for a migration. Not all collation such as sql latin1_general_ci_as for eg are nt available. "Great scalable db for small and large project"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

I like how this database could handle extensive data and small data. I have been using it for lots of small projects as well as for large project that handles data processing and event-driven projects. It's good to see such flexibility in heavily read-write processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

What I dislike about it is the GUI to handle all the operations are not that user-friendly compared to what mongo DB or MySQL has. I wonder if the Postgres team gets to have some good UI UX for postgres as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
