What is most helpful with Oracle Integration Cloud is the ability to connect to various data sources using an API to integrate data, conduct light ETL on the data, and then create a source to target mapping to bring your data into any relational database within the Oracle ecosystem and schedule your integration to run at a pre-determined cadence. What is least helpful about Oracle Integration Cloud is, without understanding java or heavy code, the way to conduct source to target mapping when integrating data is a very manual drag and drop method, which is very tedious depending on the data source and how many columns you have to map from source to target. Best thing about Oracle Integration Cloud is, you can route all you inbound and outbound internal or 3rd party vendors API securely through it.
It also benefits in providing high security to the data transfer.
Another most important thing is, if your end system has IP restrictions, then this is best as you won't need to whitelist all vendor IPs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As of now we haven't found any issues with this platform, only thing is if logs are too much, it looses them after sometime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Previously we were using so many third-party integration tools and technologies to integrate Oracle Fusion Application along with Oracle's ADF. I worked on Oracle ADF and OIC but I would recommend to the Organizations and the people who are looking for an Integration, don't think, just got for OICS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Whenever we needed some new information from Oracle at that time we have to spent more time with some difficulties so I would suggest to Oracle just keep us updating with the latest updates on time so that all the Organizations will check and go for that appropriate needed solution/technology.
To suggest to Oracle I am not that much of experience as Oracle is. But based on my little experience I would recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The prebuilt adapters are very helpful to design integrations. You don't need to know coding or programming language to use Integration Cloud. It's mostly drag and drop with minimal coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We encountered issues with on-premise Agent very often. However, in the new version, the Agent is very lightweight. Hopefully, the issues are resolved with the new Agent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simplicity, this product is easily to implement. You can have a integration up and ready in days. Giving you full monitoring, tracking and ability to resubmit errors, all from for 1 easy web page. Another great feature is the error notifications, if there is an error, you will receive an error notification where you can click the hyperlink for more information. To be honest at the moment , we have not found any really big drawbacks. For us it just works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
OIC has prebuild adapters to connect to other third party applications whether its on premise or cloud applications. It is easy to use and drag drop functionality. Scope is very vast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
User interface does not response faster with bulk data. This can be improved. Oracle support needs to improve response time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The stability that Oracle delivers on its cloud-based products is unbeatable, we can expect to have 99% uptime where downtimes are practically nonexistent, that is one of the main advantages of ICS and the backing of such a large company behind this great product.
Another main advantage is the compatibility with all Oracle products, which are numerous and widely used in many industries, having connectors that are ready for many applications not only from Oracle but from other brands is a great advantage and allows us to deploy low and medium complexity integrations in a matter of hours just by reading the product documentation.
In conclusion, having Oracle's backing allows us to know that we have an extremely robust and powerful product as well as compatibility with a very complete ecosystem of applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fact that it is such a comprehensive tool with many "aces" up its sleeve can pose a great challenge for teams that intend to develop projects on ICS and do not have extensive experience as well as highly technical knowledge, meaning that the knowledge to make the most of the platform cannot be acquired on the fly and the learning curve will be quite steep if we intend to develop highly complex solutions. We are talking about the Ferrari of cloud integration applications, but if we do not know how to handle it correctly, we could end up in a serious accident.
The support and documentation from Oracle can pose a problem if one is not sufficiently trained to handle the tool, my experience has shown me that the platform's support team assumes or expects us to have a deep understanding of the product and often their responses will not be satisfactory if we lack it, the same can happen with the documentation. Simple user interface that continues to improve with each release. Great package of out of the box adapters make it easy to dive in and start building integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There needs to be easier ways to reuse/copy integration components. UI still needs work on the pop up front. There is plenty of screen real estate...use it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
