I've used Optimizely for a year and I'm very disappointed.

They have a catch in contract where you need to send a written cancellation request 1 month in advance or else your $2,000 per month contract is automatically renewed for a year!

Now we can't get out of the contract for another year ($24,000) and we aren't using the product anymore.

We have switched to VWO and realized it's a far better product with better price.

For ~$800 a month (vs $2,000 on Optimizely) we got 3x more visitors and more features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the data collection process and how easy that tends to be. You are able to test things out before implementing and I haven't seen a huge learning curve when I introduce this software to others. Its very user friendly and easy to explain to others. There are some bugs and glitches throughout the software, not anything too big. A few of the pages are laid out in a weird way, and the flow can be a hassle, but luckily it's customizable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Optimizely is a great tool to test and optimize website. Lots of features. A/B testing different elements, titles, buttons, CTA etc. is super easy. I like how the flow takes into account all the crucial steps to include when setting up the experiment and covers most of it all in one page rather than the old one where there are separate sections you need to remember. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

UI doesn't feel as polished with the new "Create Campaign" flow, but I feel this is a simple fix.

I don't like how I can't select all the elements within a certain container, especially when I need to drill down on a specific element only.

I feel like the new goal setting flow is a bit of a hassle, but I understand that in the long-term this helps make our goals more manageable. With the current Optimizely we have too many goals that I can't keep track of all of them anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
