WebMethods Optimize aids me with continuous monitoring of my client's integration server activities in my organization. It offers highly efficient real-time insights into the performance and hosting status of the deployed server. This helps me with the reduction of infrastructure management cost as its alerts are highly proactive and notify even if there is a slight possibility for the defect to occur in the server well ahead. In Support portal, sometimes OS field is not getting populated so it is wasting our time.

Ticket allocation is not proper and getting delayed and therefore impacting the business.

- Ease of Use : Someone with basic understanding of the APIs can easily understand and start working on the API Gateway. Comparitively I found the configurations quite intuitive.

- Separate threat protection layer : The product comes in 2 flavors, standard edition gateway and an advanced edition gateway. Standard edition is just a threat protection layer which can address various threat protection requirements while advanced gateway provides rich set of features for API Gateway configuration.

- Analytics : The product ships with a built-in Kibana that addresss the analytics requirements

- Access control made easy : Access control to each API can be controlled in a variety of ways, and they are all quite intuitive. This makes access control hassle free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM webMethods API Management?

- Heavy weight : From resource requirement perspective, it has reasonable high resource requirements which makes it not a first choice when it comes to deployment along with microservices. SoftwareAG has a micro gateway offering to address such requirements, but they fall short when it comes to features they offer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
