Geekbot enabled our distributed team to fully automate our standup process in Slack. Geekbot also provides many customization options (e.g. you can define your own standup questions, the frequency of standup, have users be a part of multiple teams, etc.) at a very affordable price. Geekbot is a cheap solution to doing async communication, which is especially valuable in remote teams.
