What do you like best about DHTMLX UI?

DHTMLX UI is easy to implement and use, even without extensive coding experience.

"DHTMLX Grid Review"

What do you like best about DHTMLX UI?

I bought a DHTMLX Grid Pro license about a year ago. So far I have always been able to find a solution for the improvements I wanted to make to the Coldfusion application that I am still developing using the extensive functionality of the DHTMLX library and Coldfusion connector. What do you dislike about DHTMLX UI?

I don't have any major complaints. There were a few things I had to tweak in order to get to work the way I wanted (e.g. calendar field and drop down selection field types). I am new to Javascript so there is a bit of a learning curve for me when it comes to altering the code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DHTMLX UI?

The flexibility, rich features, continuous evolution of the product to match ours and other clients' requests, and the great support from the DHTMLX team.

Main features that I like are:

- Can handle a huge volume of data

- Can implement multiple Gantts on one page

- Resource allocation capabilities

- Dependency mapping

- Strong export functionality, including tiled PDF exports

Our Gantt chart is a big selling point for our wider suite of products and DHTMLX have made sure that this is a part of the application which mostly looks after itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DHTMLX UI?

I would have written about a couple of missing features but these have now been addressed in recent upgrades, so really not much to dislike.

I guess if we were using it out of the box I would like there to be more styling variants available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Make good use of the support available during the free trial to ensure you maximise visibility of available features during setup - it will give you much better grounds for purchasing the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A visual way of mapping out project plans within our project planning tool, without the complexity of having to develop the JS library ourselves.

I would probably say the pricing per tool above and beyond the Suite Cost, that needs to be worked on as we would sign up for more if it was cheaper or bundled Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Scheduling calendar plugged right into our Framework and provided all the functionality we needed!"

What do you like best about DHTMLX UI?

We really needed a way to show scheduled events and create new events on a calendar. We also needed the drag-and-drop rescheduling. the DHTMLX Scheduling calendar fit those needs nicely. Everything that came out of the box worked for us and we were easily able to add some new features to our product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DHTMLX UI?

So far, no downsides to using the Scheduler from DHTMLX! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DHTMLX UI solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our current product's calendar showed all the events, but we were unable to move them around or create new ones right on the calendar. The scheduling calendar handled all the UI for the drag-and-drop for us with no issues. Now users can re-schedule events right on the calendar and create new events easily. It's flexible, it has many options and the most important thing for us is that all of those options are subject to custom code. Most of our projects require custom tailored solutions so this was our priority when choosing the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

At the beginning there are way too many options that this gantt charts provide. A good approach is to start with a more simpler chart in order to easily understand the core functions and way things work. Then is very easy to add on additional features or even make the things your way, which is great as my clients are expecting custom tailored solution as per their needs. What problems is DHTMLX UI solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use the Gantt charts for managing production process and supply chain in medium sized companies in Eastern Europe. The other solution we do with the Gantt charts is for trade companies to visualize their promotion periods for different product in different store chains. It may not look something as cool as the production management but actually it helps them a lot to plan their marketing activities and manage the supply of the goods.
