What do you like best about Deltek Maconomy?

Deltek Maconomy is well-organized and everything that needs to be included is included. In theory, it's a great tool and a great way to centralize time keeping, budgeting, expenses, and project planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Deltek Maconomy?

Deltek Maconomy is the slowest app I have ever used. I once had to make a bot that used it, and I had to add a "Wait" activity for 45 seconds because the app usually did not launch before that period of time. It’s not super intuitive to find every single part that you need for expenses or time sheets -- some crucial aspects are hidden on the side bars, making it near impossible to figure out on your own. I have yet to use the project manager, but it doesn’t look much better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Deltek allows me to explicitly break my work hours into various codes and also gives me the ability to categorize charges in a fine tuned manner Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are just too many buttons and steps you have to go through to enter in time and expenses and submit them. It gets very convoluted in that it will take me nearly 20 minutes to charge my time and even longer to log expenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Deltek Maconomy?

After 2 years of using it, I am still not used to this system. It's cumbersome, slow, outdated and very very user unfriendly. It does not bring up a job even after keying in the job name. Clearly whoever developed this did not think of the end user at all. I dread doing my timesheet every week and dread even more when I have to enter an expense claim. There are a lot more user-friendly timesheet/expense systems out there and I hope companies take their employees feedback onboard and stop using Maconomy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that it is comprehensive- a one stop shop for several HR systems (time tracking, absence/vacation tracking, expensing). There are some shortcuts available but these can be hard to learn to use well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Maconomy has centralized billing and time and expense tracking all in one software. It is an ERP system well built and has gotten better with time. The company provides continuous upgrades and has been working a great deal on its speed. The reporting on the software is very versatile and easy to customize.
