What do you like best about AWS Lambda?

AWS Lambda is a very good FaaS (Function As A Service). If you are looking out to build projects on serverless architectures.

This is one of the must have services, it integrates well with AWS API Gateway, and if your software ecosystem is on AWS, you'll find that Lambda comes in handy in many sticky situations as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Lambda?

Keeping lambdas warm is an additional overhead that comes into play when you choose to go for using function as a service.

"AWS Lambda best tool for Severless Application"

What do you like best about AWS Lambda?

Aws lambda can be used for making cron jobs for EC2 Lambda. It is best to for using it as a serverless function I have also deployed it on my final year project and it worked great with app sync It supports various languages programming languages. We can also monitor the health and computation power within the AWS lambda as it is connected with the Aws cloudwatch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Lambda?

When the particular function uses up all the storage it doesn't clear up the previous cache for the function which eventually fills up the lambda function storage and for cleaning it we have to do it manually on our own which is a hectic who is not good in DevOps. Recommendations to others considering AWS Lambda:

It is best for building serverless apps as it can communicate with almost all the services found in Aws as well as outside apps like Jumpcloud. What problems is AWS Lambda solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves the problem of connecting the other Aws services which each other as we can connect Api gateway, S3 bucket, Sagemaker, and many more services which help in gaining a greater goal for serverless functions. via Aws Eventbridge we can also trigger these lambda functions for a particular time which is a plus point in it and solves the automation issue. What do you like best about AWS Cloud?

The Security in AWS is very high. We handle very sensitive data and there have been no issues at all.

The ease at which the resources are available will be the next major thing.

The cost can be one major drawback due to which we cannot suggest it to a low budget client or project.

What do you like best about AWS Cloud?

I personally like the design and accessibility across the services and the ease of navigating through these; I mostly use the services related data and analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Cloud?

I once disliked the frequent change in the UI (not sure if it was an experiment or not) but some time ago when I was writing lambda functions and they changed the console and the UI for lambda and I had some issues navigating through. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AWS Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

I personally loved the lambda functions and Sagemaker - for me it was the ease of spinning up python notebooks on the cloud + collaborating with my teammates. Lambda functions is an overkill - I love how we can customize and plug in the those triggers; and when I had used it at that company, it was perfect for the scale that we were operating on. What do you like best about AWS Cloud?

1) When Configure EBS volume then we cant change it for 6 hours.

2) AWS Service limitations.

"Lambda: The best FaaS Service"

What do you like best about AWS Lambda?

With AWS Lambda, we can host any piece of code in the AWS cloud without thinking about scaling and management of resources. AWS manages it on its own and we just have to pay for the time function is taking to complete its job. Currently, we are using the Lambda function for monitoring the Web application SSL, Uptime, and for managing the resources being used by other AWS services. This helps us in triggering the resources like EC2 whenever it'd required and shutting down after the task completion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Lambda?

There's nothing much to dislike about Lambda but I would like to see a better UI in the future, the current UI is outdated and very confusing for beginners. The timeout should be more flexible as compared to the current limit of 15 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AWS Lambda solving and how is that benefiting you?

Most of the important tasks like triggering some resources or monitoring don't require a server to run all the time. AWS Lambda helps us in this scenario as we can just put our script in the Lambda and it will trigger it as per the cronjob set up in the CloudWatch.
