Amazon elastic file system is very much useful while deploying multi az deployment as the file system can be mounted on both the the availability zones which acts as a backup file system in case anything goes wrong on one az then another az can work smoothly. There is a free version that one can opt for, and If you are an individual exploring the services, you do not have to buy into the entire ecosystem, and there is no hurry from AWS for you to do so.

Pay as you use: A secure and simple process that gives you the liberty of paying for only the services you require.
